A New Queensland government Solar Battery Grant has just been announced.

Everything you need to know about the new battery grant.

The grant is for solar home batteries and is worth up to $4000 towards the cost of a Solar battery. 

You can also claim a grant towards installing solar on your property, when combined these grants will be a game changer for those that use a lot of their energy at night. 

The Queensland government solar battery grant will be released next year and is expected to bring a surge of interest in Solar home batteries in Queensland.

The main benefit to install a Solar battery is that you can store your excess solar energy and use that stored energy at night (this is called ‘on-grid mode’), instead of buying power from the grid,  this is particularly valuable to those that use the majority of their energy at night.

The other benefit is we can wire up some circuits in your home to the battery EPS (Emergency Power Supply) to retain power to those circuits in case of a blackout, giving you blackout protection while there is stored energy.  Circuit Alert Solar can explain this in more detail.

All of our battery systems have a black start function, so in the event of a prolonged blackout, the solar inverter will start back up and power the EPS circuit and charge the battery (off grid mode).
