Caloundra is known as a quaint seaside town, founded in 1875. By 1883, council began to auction off the land. Due to its beachside location, Caloundra became popular with travellers and tourists, and plenty of hotels were built to accommodate this. In 1986, Caloundra Library was built and underwent major refurbishment in 2017.
King’s Beach is a coastal suburb of Caloundra, with a relatively small population. Named after the King Family – the first residents of the area – King’s Beach is known nationally for it’s stunning beach fronts and salt water beachside pool. Perfect for a family holiday or even your retirement, King’s Beach has everything from a year-round festive atmosphere, enchanting rock pools, and night markets on the last Friday of every month.
